Deep within
PNPG and close to the international borderline, Mata da Albergaria is a very old forest, preserved at its most natural form. In some spots, the woods are so dense that sunlight doesn't reach the ground, providing a very moist and low temperature ecosystem, throughout the entire year.
In the last years, some
deadly summer fires have been close to it. Too close...
The last
two photos… well, I was just playing with the zoom ring of the lens, while
doing some longer exposure times. The last photo is also the source for the top
banner on this blog.
