and location as the previous post, though a different tree and composition.
These woods
are quite dense. During summer, sunrays don’t really touch the ground below the
dense tree tops. But in autumn, light penetrate where first fallen leaves
abandon the branches. It was this I wanted to capture, though artificially, in
this photograph.
I don’t want to get technical in this blog
(also because, in post-processing, I spent most of the time not really knowing
what I’m doing), but this is basically as shot. I just shortened the levels a
bit and reduced a red overcast. The photograph was obtained from a 0.8’’
exposure with a twist of the lens’s zoom ring just before the shutter closed.
Want I wanted to obtain was well defined tree branches in the composition but
with “light beams” all over the place. I like these kinds of things!

anterior, embora seja uma composição e uma árvore diferente
Estas florestas são
verdadeiramente densas. Durante o Verão, a luz não chega a tocar o chão sob as
copas cerradas das árvores. No Outono, a luz começa a penetrar onde as folhas
abandonam os ramos. Era isto que queria capturar, artificialmente, nesta
fotografia.
Não pretendo ser técnico neste
blog (até porque passo a maior parte do tempo sem saber o que realmente estou a
fazer no pós-processamento) mas esta fotografia está, essencialmente, como foi
capturada. Apenas encurtei um pouco os levels e reduzi um overcast de
vermelhos. A fotografia foi obtida numa exposição de 0,8’’ e com uma rotação
ligeira do anel de zoom da lente imediatamente antes das cortinas fecharem. O
que queria obter eram os ramos bem definidos na composição mas com um efeito de
raios de luz um pouco por todo o lado. Gosto destas coisas!
